What’s New on the Outside?
Front Look: The front of the new Thar will look a lot like its bigger brother, the Thar Roxx. It will have a new grille with six horizontal slots.
Lights: It will get new round headlights that are more modern, with projectors and daytime running lights (DRLs).
Sides: The sides will have new fenders and new alloy wheels to give it a fresh style.
Back: The rear of the car will also be updated with new LED tail lights and a new bumper. It will still have a full-sized spare wheel on the back.
What’s New on the Inside?
The interior will feel more modern.
Dashboard: The center part of the dashboard will be redesigned, just like the Thar Roxx.
Screens: It will have a new, larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. The driver will also get a new display that combines digital and old-style analog gauges.
Other Features: The new Thar will have power windows in the front and grab handles on the pillars to make it easier to get in and out. It will also have special seats with a carbon-fiber-like pattern. A wireless charger for your phone might be included as well.
How it Drives
The engines in the new Thar will be the same reliable ones used in the current model.
Engine Options: You can choose from a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine or a 1.5-liter and 2.2-liter diesel engine.
Gearbox: You will still have the choice of a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
Drive: The SUV will be available in both 4×2 (two-wheel drive) and 4×4 (four-wheel drive) options.
What about Safety?
The new Thar will come with some important safety improvements.
Airbags: The updated model is likely to have six airbags as a standard feature across all versions.
Other Safety: It will keep the other safety features of the current model, such as dual airbags, ABS, and stability control. However, it is not expected to get more advanced safety systems like ADAS.
