Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter: Overview, Price, Features

The Bajaj Chetak is one of India’s most popular electric scooters, known for its retro design, solid metal body, and smooth ride quality. Blending nostalgia with modern electric technology, the Chetak stands out in the premium EV scooter segment.

The price of Bajaj Chetak in India starts at ₹1.07 lakh and goes up to ₹1.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is available in four variants, catering to a different range of feature requirements.

Design & Build Quality:-
The Chetak retains its timeless retro look with curvy panels, sweeping lines, and an all-metal monocoque chassis. Subtle modern touches like LED DRLs, flush body panels, and dark grey trims give it a premium appeal. Fit and finish are among the best in the segment, making it feel sturdy and well-built.

Features & Technology:-
The updated models get a 5-inch colour TFT touchscreen with smart connectivity features such as navigation, call alerts, ride statistics, and battery status. Safety features include keyless start, anti-theft alerts, collision detection, and the Combined Braking System (CBS). Higher variants offer a Tech Pack with sport mode, hill-hold assist, and sequential indicators.

Range, Battery & Charging:-
The Bajaj Chetak offers a real-world range of 120–140 km depending on riding conditions. It comes with battery options up to 3.5kWh, and charging from 0 to 100% takes around 3.5 hours using a standard charger.

Comfort & Ride Quality:-
With a comfortable seat, flat floorboard, and upright riding posture, the Chetak is well-suited for daily city commutes. It handles traffic easily, feels stable at city speeds, and offers a refined, silent riding experience.

Verdict:-
The Bajaj Chetak may not be the fastest electric scooter in the market, but it excels in build quality, comfort, range, and premium feel. If you’re looking for a stylish, reliable, and mature electric scooter for everyday use, the Chetak is a strong choice.
