The adventure bikes have been a growing segment in India for some years now. And many more riders are demanding motorcycles that can do everything from long-distance touring to tackling rough terrains to effortless daily commuting. As such, manufacturers are releasing adventure bikes that are more capable and versatile.

For ADV lovers, 2026 promises to be an exciting year as various global brands gear up to premium-laced products with new engines, enhanced off-road potential and the latest technology. Middleweight touring machines, more affordable adventure bikes, the upcoming class should have something for any kind of rider.

Here is a look at the top five adventure bikes that we are eagerly waiting for in 2026.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750

Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 is one of the most-awaited adventure motorcycles, set to be unveiled sometime in 2026. This motorcycle will debut Royal Enfield’s next-generation 750cc platform and will be aimed at riders wanting a more powerful touring-oriented adventure bike.

The Himalayan nameplate has already established a solid reputation as a rugged, simple tourer. With the new 750cc platform, expect more rider-focused styling and significantly more power for better highway performance.

The motorcycle is expected to be powered by an extensively reworked version of the 650cc parallel-twin engine, producing about 55bhp and 60-65Nm of torque. This additional power should also make the bike more suitable for long-distance touring, particularly with luggage or a pillion on board.

The Himalayan 750 will feature long travel suspension, a larger fuel tank and improved touring ergonomics when it comes to design and hardware. It could also pack modern features like ride modes, traction control, and a fully digital instrument cluster. Expected to make its global debut at EICMA later this year, the official launch event in India should take place around Motoverse 2026.

BMW F 450 GS

Another highly anticipated adventure motorcycle is the BMW F 450 GS, which will reportedly become the most affordable offering from BMW in their popular adventure lineup in India. The bike was originally set to be shown at India Bike Week 2025; however, it did not take place as the venue was changed.

The motorcycle is now set to be launched in early 2026, and enthusiasts have already got a buzz going about it. Expected to be used in the BMW F 450 GS will be a 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin that’s likely to produce around 48bhp and 43Nm of torque. The setup should offer a compelling blend of power and efficiency, targeted toward both highway excursions and back road bumps.

As with most BMW GS models, the motorcycle is projected to provide extraordinary assembly high quality, premium elements and top-of-the-line electronics. ATV models being offered would be on the basis of how many features and accessories it gets, in which form factor rider can expect multiple variants. The F 450 GS is rumoured to be priced around the Rs. 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom) mark in India and could prove to be an attractive entry point for riders looking to step into the BMW adventure fold.

KTM 390 Adventure R

KTM has already cemented a respectable place in the adventure space with its 390 Adventure, and now, it’s gearing up to launch a more off-road-centric variant, the KTM 390 Adventure R.

It will be a new model aimed at more rugged adventure riders with an eye for off-road capabilities that the standard 390 Adventure S simply does not provide. Expect longer travel suspension, higher ground clearance, and dirtier tuning packed into this version of the bike. Those updates should make it much better on challenging terrain and may help attract hardcore adventure riders.

Mechanically, the Indian motorcycle will borrow its 373cc single-cylinder engine from the existing 390 range, and because of that expects good performance, matched with a responsive nature.

And aside from its mechanical revisions, the bike was speculated to also sport more advanced electronic packages, including traction-control systems, switchable ABS, and ride modes that would allow riders to better tackle dicey terrain. The price is expected to be a bit more than the 390 Adventure S, at around Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom).

Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr

The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr is another unique adventure motorcycle that should make its way to India by 2026. It was supposed to make its debut at the India Bike Week 2025; however, the launch got delayed, just like a couple of other brands, because of the venue change.

Despite the delay, the motorcycle has already attracted attention thanks to its distinctive styling and strong performance. The Crossfire 500 Storr is powered by a parallel-twin 486cc engine that provides good power delivery and torque, whether on a road trip or tearing up dirt.

Earlier test rides undertaken in Austria found many reviewers impressed with the bike’s stable handling, comfortable ergonomics and comprehensive feature list. The motorcycle is also likely to feature modern tech, with LED lighting, digital instrumentation and advanced rider aids expected.

The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr could be launched around February 2026 and will likely be priced at approximately Rs. 5.60 lakh (ex-showroom).

CFMoto 450MT

Another bike that is currently generating buzz within the adventure motorcycle segment is the CFMoto 450MT. The Chinese maker originally planned to make its comeback in India by late 2025, but was put on hold due to compliance-related issues with E20 fuel. The brand is now expected to soon launch the 450MT in India.

A 449cc parallel-twin engine powers the motorcycle, which is designed to produce a hearty mid-range performance while still being efficient for long-distance touring. Our first impressions based on some international testing indicate that the bike provides decent performance, balanced handling and pretty styling, adding up to what could be a strong contender in the middleweight adventure category.

Expected to be priced at about Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom), the CFMoto 450MT will rival models like the BMW F 450 GS and Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr.

Adventure Bikes to Watch Out for in 2026

With the adventure motorcycle segment in India fast evolving, it appears that 2026 will be a leap year for ADV fans. The new bikes range from options with the powerhouse of a middleweight like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, to more approachable entries beneath that power plateau like the BMW F 450 GS and KTM 390 Adventure R.

These motorcycles should provide improved performance, better off-road capabilities and feature modern updates to make long-distance touring more enjoyable. If you are a rider who loves to explore new roads and venture outside of the city skyline, there could be some fantastic options in the adventure bike segment for you over the next year.
