The Indian two-wheeler market is gearing up for an exciting start to 2026. As the new year approaches, a number of top motorcycle manufacturers are ready to launch highly anticipated new bikes model across segments. From adventure motorcycles to classic cruisers, multiple premium bikes for enthusiasts and touring riders are all set to be launched in January 2026.

These upcoming launches will strengthen competition in the mid-capacity motorcycle segment, while also giving riders more options than ever before. Exciting new motorcycles are on the way to make a splash and raise interest with promising performance, modern features, and interesting styling from brands like BMW Motorrad, Royal Enfield, KTM, Brixton and more.

BMW F 450 GS

Among the most eagerly anticipated motorcycles scheduled for release next month is the BMW F 450 GS. This upcoming adventure machine will sit below the existing models in BMW Motorrad’s GS range for India, and is likely to appeal to riders seeking a premium ADV motorcycle with contemporary tech.

Production of the motorcycle has already commenced at the TVS manufacturing plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, a testament to BMW Motorrad’s growing collaboration with TVS Motor Company. The F 450 GS will rival popular adventure bikes on launch, like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure and Kawasaki Versys-X 300.

The F 450 GS will feature signature GS styling, giving it a rugged and ready-for-action stance. It will also feature a uniquely designed LED headlamp with an “X” shaped daytime running light, which will add to the sharp and aggressive character of the motorcycle. The motorcycle also comes with features like a 19-inch front alloy wheel shod with tubeless tyres, a 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity and Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) technology.

It will also have KYB-sourced upside-down telescopic front forks, which should help enhance the handling and stability of the bike, especially while riding off-road.

The BMW F 450 GS will get a 420cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that is expected to generate around 47 bhp at peak power and 43 Nm of peak torque. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, it’ll deliver power smoothly and strongly for high kilometres on highway touring as well as across terrain when adventure riding. The F 450 GS could become a strong contender in the mid-capacity adventure motorcycle space in India, given its premium product placement and highly capable engine setup.

Royal Enfield Bullet 650

Another major launch expected in January 2026 is the Royal Enfield Bullet 650, which will expand the brand’s successful 650cc lineup. The motorcycle will be the seventh model in Royal Enfield’s 650cc lineup and would further bolster the company’s position in the mid-weight motorcycle segment.

The Bullet 650 was initially displayed during the Motoverse 2025 in Goa after its international unveiling at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy. The bike derives its name from the classic Bullet 350, and as the nomenclature suggests, design cues were taken from it to retain the iconic styling that made Bullet one of India’s most recognisable motorcycles.

But, under the retro looks, is essentially a mechanically similar offering to the Classic 650 with all its modern performance and reliability. The motorcycle will be available in two colour options, namely Canon Black and Battleship Blue. Other design highlights include a 19-inch wire-spoke front wheel, eliminating dual exhaust pipes with chrome finishing and an LED headlight coupled to twin “tiger-eye” pilot lamps that give the bike great retro street cred.

Feature highlights include a semi-digital LCD instrument cluster, dual-channel ABS, and a USB Type-C charging port, which adds convenience for modern riders.

Powering the Bullet 650 will be the same trusted 648cc parallel-twin engine, which currently also does duties in several other Royal Enfield motorcycles. The 1.5-litre engine generates 46.4 bhp and 52.3 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed transmission. Renowned for its buttery smooth performance and strong mid-range torque, the engine should make the Bullet 650 perfect for relaxed cruising as well as some serious highway touring. Whether or not it achieves the brand’s stated goal remains to be seen, but with both its classic styling and an engine that has already been proven a good fit for sport touring, the Bullet 650 should draw riders looking for modern performance in a traditional package.

KTM 390 Adventure R

KTM is also preparing to expand its adventure motorcycle lineup in India with the launch of the KTM 390 Adventure R. This new model will be the off-road-focused version of the standard 390 Adventure, offering improved capability for riders who frequently venture beyond paved roads.

The Austrian brand confirmed during India Bike Week (IBW) 2025 that the 390 Adventure R will sit at the top of the 390 Adventure range, focusing heavily on off-road performance. Compared to the standard model, the 390 Adventure R will feature longer suspension travel, higher ground clearance, and a larger wheel setup, all of which will enhance its off-road ability.

These upgrades are expected to come with a price premium of around ₹20,000 over the standard KTM 390 Adventure in the country, which retails at ₹3.95 lakh (ex-showroom). The mechanical setup will largely mirror the current offering despite its off-road enhancements. It is expected to get the same 398.6cc single-cylinder water-cooled engine producing 44 bhp of power and 39 Nm of torque. This motor will carry on to be mated to a 6-speed transmission, providing robust performance in varying riding scenarios.

The slightly up-specced KTM 390 Adventure R is likely to attract adventure riders looking for something a little more hardcore than the regular, long-term project, 390 Adventure in the sub-500cc category.

Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr

The Brixton Crossfire 500 Storr is another exciting motorcycle that is set to arrive in India around January 2026. With this model, Brixton will be entering the adventure motorcycle segment in India and expanding its lineup beyond its existing road-focused motorcycles. The Crossfire 500 Storr was initially expected to be launched during India Bike Week 2025, but the launch was later pushed back, and the company is currently looking at a possible early 2026 introduction.

The Storr also comes with a rugged adventure-ready design, featuring a tall windscreen, round LED headlamp and a 16-litre fuel tank that is ideal for long-distance touring. With a seat height of 839 mm, this motorcycle is designed for adventure riding without compromising on comfort.

It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, with a kerb weight of 209 kg, and aims to make a compromise between stability and off-road scrub.

Technology-wise, the motorcycle gets a 7-inch colour TFT display, dual-channel switchable ABS and traction control that can be turned on or off depending on the road conditions.

The Crossfire 500 Storr is powered by a 486cc parallel-twin engine that makes peak power and torque of 46.9 bhp and 43 Nm, respectively. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and claims smooth performance across the board for touring and ADV riding. Expected to be priced close to ₹4 lakh (ex-showroom), the motorcycle could fill a unique position in India’s mid-capacity adventure space if Brixton can place it competitively.

What These New Bikes Launch Mean for Buyers

The month of January 2026 is going to be an exciting time for motorcycle enthusiasts in India. These new motorcycles will offer buyers several choices across various riding styles, from the adventure bikes, which comprise the likes of the BMW F 450 GS and KTM 390 Adventure R, as well as Brixton’s retro-styled Crossfire 500 Storr, along with Royal Enfield’s similarly dressed Bullet 650.

The upcoming launches here also highlight the growing demand for mid-capacity motorcycles in India, especially within the adventure and touring segments. It’s not an exhaustive list, either; considering that many more feature-laden and performance-oriented entries are being introduced in the coming months, we can expect plenty more thrilling offerings on just one side of the scale.
