Sedans may not be as popular as SUVs right now, but they are not going away. In fact, 2026 will bring many updates for sedans and MPVs in India. Most C-segment sedans will get facelifts, along with popular MPVs like the Ertiga, Rumion, and XL6.
Hyundai Verna Facelift (2026)
The Hyundai Verna will get a much-needed facelift in 2026. It will feature a fresh exterior design and updated features. However, the engine options are expected to stay the same. It will continue to compete with the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus.
Honda City Facelift
The Honda City is expected to receive a major update in 2026. This will include changes to the front and rear design and new features. It will likely be the final update for the current generation before an all-new model arrives around 2030. The hybrid e:HEV version will also be part of this update.
Skoda Slavia & Volkswagen Virtus Facelift
Both cars will get refreshed styling at the front and rear. They are expected to receive bigger touchscreens, Level-2 ADAS, connected car tech, a 360-degree camera, and better rear-seat comfort.
Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Rumion & XL6 Facelift
These MPVs are expected to get cosmetic updates inside and outside. The XL6 may also get extra features such as larger screens, improved Suzuki Connect, and possibly Level-2 ADAS in select variants.
