The year 2025 saw many new car launches, and the excitement will continue in 2026. Several new models, facelifts, electric vehicles, and even a new premium brand are expected from Tata, Nissan, and Honda. Here’s a simple look at what’s coming.
Tata Cars in 2026
Tata Sierra EV
Tata has officially confirmed the Sierra EV, which is expected to launch by mid-2026. It will be positioned above the Curvv EV and is likely to share its platform, features, and powertrain. The Sierra EV will carry the same design as its petrol version, including the iconic Alpine glass roof, grille-free front, pop-out door handles, and modern tail lamps.

Tata Punch Facelift
The Tata Punch will get its first major update since its launch in 2021. The facelift will bring a refreshed exterior, updated interiors, and more features like a larger touchscreen, connected car tech, and a 360-degree camera. Engine options will remain petrol and CNG. This update will help Tata compete with cars like the Hyundai Exter and Maruti Swift.

Tata Avinya
Tata will enter the premium electric SUV space with the Avinya brand. These EVs will sit above the Harrier EV and will be sold through new premium showrooms and online platforms. The first Avinya model, based on the Avinya X concept, is expected to be revealed by the end of 2026.
Tata Punch EV Facelift
The Punch EV will also receive a facelift in 2026. Design and interior updates will match the regular Punch facelift, while battery options will remain unchanged with 25kWh and 35kWh packs.
Tata Safari EV and Nexon Facelift
Tata is expected to launch the Safari EV with three rows of seats and premium second-row options. It will rival electric MPVs and SUVs in the segment.
The Nexon will get a minor facelift with small design changes inside and outside, as it already offers plenty of features.

Nissan Cars in 2026
Nissan Gravite
Nissan will launch the Gravite MPV, its version of the Renault Triber. It will be a 5+2 seater with similar engines and features as the Triber. The Gravite will be made in India and launched in the last quarter of FY26.
Nissan Tekton SUV
The Tekton will be Nissan’s key launch in 2026. This mid-size SUV will compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate. It will feature bold styling, modern interiors with dual screens, connected tech, and Level-2 ADAS. It will launch with a turbo petrol engine, with a hybrid option expected later.
Honda Cars in 2026
Honda plans major launches in 2027, so 2026 will focus on updates. The Honda City is expected to get a facelift with refreshed styling, bigger screens, and improved ADAS features.
