2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift: Prices, Variant Differences and New Features

Komal Thakur October 16, 2026

Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched the 2026 Glanza facelift in India on October 14 at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The update brings a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and Level 2 ADAS, which is limited to the new V(O) top variant.

The range also gains CNG with an AMT, a combination the earlier Glanza did not offer. Bookings opened on October 15 at Rs 11,000, and Toyota says deliveries begin in the first week of November. The body, platform, and cabin layout carry over, so the changes sit in the powertrain, the feature list, and the front end, and several of the new features are restricted to higher variants.

2026 Toyota Glanza Facelift Price in India

The Glanza is now sold in five variants (E, S, G, V and V(O)) and 13 powertrain combinations. Prices are ex-showroom and reported as introductory.

The range runs from Rs 6.99 lakh to Rs 10.98 lakh. The AMT adds Rs 60,000 over the manual on the S, G and V variants, and about Rs 50,000 on the V(O). The CNG versions cost between Rs 90,000 and Rs 1.05 lakh more than the equivalent petrol variants.

The E is petrol-manual only. CNG is offered only on the S and G. The V and V(O) are petrol only.

The starting price is only Rs 26,000 above the outgoing Glanza, but the gap widens higher up the range. Trade reports put the petrol manual and AMT variants at up to Rs 1 lakh more than before, and the CNG manual at up to Rs 27,000 more. The higher variants also carry the new equipment described below.

What Has Changed in the 2026 Toyota Glanza?

New in the facelift

  • 1.2-litre Z12E three-cylinder petrol engine, replacing the four-cylinder K-series unit
  • CNG with AMT, a combination the earlier Glanza did not offer
  • Level 2 ADAS, exclusive to the new V(O) variant
  • Ventilated front seats on the V and V(O)
  • Wireless phone charger with cooling, from the G variant
  • Tyre pressure monitoring system on all variants except the E
  • Clarion sound system on the higher variants
  • Larger grille with a chrome strip, repositioned Toyota logo, revised bumper with new fog lamp housings and side skirts.
  • Two new colours, Bluish Black and Digital Teal Green, taking the palette to seven

Carried over

  • Platform, body shell and 16-inch alloy wheels
  • Rear styling
  • Beige-and-black dual-tone cabin and 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
  • Head-up display, 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, keyless entry and rear AC vents on the higher variants
  • Six airbags, ESC, hill-hold control and ISOFIX mounts
  • 3-year/1,00,000 km warranty, extendable to 5 years/2,20,000 km

The visual changes are confined to the front. The side profile and rear are unchanged, so the facelift is easiest to identify from the grille and bumper.

The power and torque figures and the petrol mileage figures are from Toyota. The CNG efficiency figures come from published variant listings.

The new engine replaces a four-cylinder unit that had slightly higher peak power, while peak torque stays broadly similar at 112.4 Nm. A three-cylinder layout generally has fewer moving parts and lower friction losses, which supports the claimed efficiency gains. It also fires differently from a four-cylinder, so idle and vibration character can differ. Toyota says the engine improves everyday drivability, but it has not published the rpm at which peak torque arrives. Whether low-speed response or refinement has improved can only be judged in a road test.

The mileage figures are ARAI-tested claims, not real-world numbers. Traffic, air-conditioning use, load and driving style all change what owners see. The outgoing Glanza was rated at 22.35 kmpl for the petrol manual, 22.94 kmpl for the AMT and 30.61 km/kg for the CNG manual. The claimed gains are therefore about 1.45 kmpl, 1.83 kmpl and 3 km/kg respectively.

CNG with AMT is the main powertrain addition. Toyota has not published boot space for the CNG versions. The petrol Glanza has a reported 318 litres, and the CNG cylinder will reduce usable space.

New Features and Safety Equipment

Feature availability differs sharply by variant.

Head-up display, 360-degree camera–––YesYes
Level 2 ADAS––––Yes

Level 2 ADAS: Toyota lists adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, autonomous emergency braking, and high beam assist. Level 2 means the car can manage speed and steering inputs together, but the driver remains responsible and must stay attentive. Lane-based functions depend on visible lane markings, so their usefulness varies with road conditions. The V(O) carries the same equipment as the V plus this suite, and it is petrol only.

Ventilated seats and cooled charging: Ventilated seats move air through the seat surface, which is useful in hot weather. The cooled wireless charger keeps a phone from heating up on the pad. The charger starts at the G, but ventilated seats need the V or above.

Crash safety: Toyota lists six airbags, ESC, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX anchorages in the Glanza’s safety package. The Glanza facelift has no published Bharat NCAP rating. Any rating earned by the pre-facelift Baleno does not carry over to this facelift.

Toyota Glanza vs Maruti Suzuki Baleno

The Glanza is a rebadged Baleno, and the facelifts keep it that way. The points below are the ones that bear on choosing between the two.

Both cars use the same 1.2-litre Z12E engine, offer CNG with an AMT on the equivalent trims (Baleno Delta and Zeta, Glanza S and G), and restrict Level 2 ADAS to the top variant. The trim structures line up: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha and Alpha (O) against E, S, G, V and V(O). Neither company states the equivalence.

At these launch prices, the Glanza costs about Rs 71,000 to Rs 1 lakh more than the Baleno on equivalent petrol trims. The CNG versions, which both cars offer on the second and third trims, show a similar gap.

Introductory launch prices, ex-showroom Delhi. Current prices vary by city.

The Baleno’s Rs 5.99 lakh starting price applied to Delhi, and it was Rs 6.10 lakh elsewhere.

Both carry a 3-year/1,00,000 km standard warranty. Toyota’s extended plan runs up to 5 years/2,20,000 km and comes with 60-minute Express Maintenance and roadside assistance. Extended-warranty plans are structured differently on the two brands, so compare the actual plans and not just the headline numbers.

The visible differences are the Glanza’s front-end styling and beige-and-black cabin against the Baleno’s black-and-blue theme. Choosing between the two comes down to the price gap and how much the Toyota ownership package and styling are worth to the buyer.

What the Facelift Means for Buyers

  • Buyers who want ADAS need the V(O), which is petrol-only and costs Rs 10.49 lakh (manual) or Rs 10.98 lakh (AMT). The step-up over the V is Rs 50,000 on the manual and Rs 39,000 on the AMT.
  • Buyers who want ventilated seats need the V. Over the G, the V adds Rs 1.26 lakh on the manual and brings the head-up display, 360-degree camera, Clarion audio, and cruise control along with it.
  • CNG buyers are limited to the S and G, so a CNG Glanza will not have ventilated seats, the 360-degree camera, or ADAS. The G is the more fully equipped of the two and carries the cooled wireless charger. CNG with an AMT is available on both.
  • Automatic buyers can choose the AMT on every variant except the E, in petrol on all of them and in CNG on the S and G.
  • E variant buyers get the new engine but not TPMS or the cooled charger, and there is no automatic option.

Before booking, confirm the variant-wise equipment in Toyota’s brochure, the CNG boot dimensions, and the on-road price for your city. Toyota’s delivery timeline starts in the first week of November, and waiting periods by variant have not been published.

Final Verdict

The new engine, CNG-AMT, and Level 2 ADAS are the three updates that change what the Glanza offers. ADAS comes with a price: it is limited to the V(O), which is the most expensive variant and has no CNG option. The engine swap is a trade-off, with claimed efficiency up and peak power slightly down. Whether the new unit feels better in daily use will only show in a drive.

Almost everything else is unchanged, including the platform, rear styling, and cabin layout. The Baleno has the same engine, CNG-AMT and ADAS limitation, so for buyers comparing the two, the choice comes down mostly to the price gap and the value placed on Toyota’s styling and ownership package. Before choosing a variant, check which features sit on it, since many of the headline additions are on the G, V or V(O) and not on the lower trims.
