Ultraviolette Tesseract: A Powerful New Electric Scooter

The Ultraviolette Tesseract is a new electric scooter from Bengaluru-based EV brand Ultraviolette. Priced from ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom), it is the company’s first electric scooter and is packed with advanced technology, strong performance, and a futuristic design.

Design:-

The Tesseract looks bold and modern. It gets twin projector LED headlights, sharp body lines, and fighter-jet-inspired styling. The scooter is available in four colours: Desert Sand, Stealth Black, Solar White, and Sonic Pink.

Features:-

The scooter comes with a large 7-inch TFT screen that shows speed, range, navigation, calls, and ride data. It also offers smart features like:

  • Google Maps navigation

  • Call and SMS alerts

  • Location tracking and towing alerts

  • OTA updates and AI assistance

For safety, it gets traction control, radar-based alerts, blind-spot detection, lane-change assist, and even haptic vibration alerts on the handlebar. Convenience features include cruise control, hill hold, reverse mode, USB charging ports, and a wireless phone charger.

Comfort & Storage:-

The Tesseract offers a comfortable upright riding position with wide handlebars. The seat is spacious and good for long rides. It also has a large 34-litre underseat storage, enough for daily needs.

Battery, Range & Performance

The scooter is available in three battery variants:

  • 3.5 kWh – 162 km range

  • 5 kWh – 220 km range (upcoming)

  • 6 kWh – 261 km range (upcoming)

It can go from 0–60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 125 km/h. Charging from 0 to 80% takes less than 1 hour (claimed).

Ride & Handling:-

The scooter rides on 14-inch wheels with tubeless tyres. It gets disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS, offering confident braking and stability.

Verdict

The Ultraviolette Tesseract stands out with its high speed, long range, and advanced tech. It offers more features than many rivals and even undercuts some premium competitors in price. However, it misses out on floorboard space.
