Compact SUVs are one of the hottest topics in the Indian car market right now. Recently, Tata brought back old memories with the new Sierra. Now, Renault India is doing the same by teasing the return of the popular Duster SUV.
The teaser takes us back to the original Duster, which first made compact SUVs popular in India back in 2012. Renault has confirmed that the new Duster will launch on January 26, 2026, calling it the return of an icon.
What We Saw in the Teaser
Renault has kept most details hidden, but the teaser shows the rear design of the new Duster. It looks different from the international version, especially with connected LED taillamps. We also spotted LED DRLs and tall roof rails, hinting at a strong SUV stance.
The new Duster is expected to look more rugged, with sharp body lines and side cladding. It will be built on Renault’s CMF-B platform and will have a boxier design compared to the older model.

Expected Price & Rivals
The new Renault Duster is expected to start at around ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with popular SUVs like the Tata Sierra, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and other upcoming compact SUVs.
