Ultraviolette X47 Venom Launched at ₹2.65 Lakh: Range and Key Specs
The Ultraviolette X47 Venom has launched in India with an introductory price of ₹2.65 lakh, a claimed range of up to 343 km, and a 30 kW electric motor. Based on the company’s new VX-100 platform, the electric motorcycle is offered with two battery options and features such as radar-based rider alerts on equipped variants. However, the introductory price is limited to the first 5,000 customers.
Ultraviolette X47 Venom Price in India
The X47 Venom is sold in four variants. All prices below are introductory ex-showroom (Bengaluru) figures for the first 5,000 customers. Each variant has a range because the final price depends on battery size, charger type, and colour choice.
| Variant | Introductory ex-showroom price (Bengaluru) |
| X47 Venom | ₹2.65-2.78 lakh |
| X47 Venom+ | ₹3.15-3.28 lakh |
| X47 Venom Recon | ₹3.75-3.88 lakh |
| X47 Venom Recon+ | ₹4.00-4.12 lakh |
The ₹4.12 lakh top end applies to the 11 kWh variant in the new Afterburner Yellow colour. After the first 5,000 customers, prices rise by ₹35,000 per variant, which puts the base Venom at about ₹3 lakh. Bookings are open, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026.
Battery and Claimed Range
There are two battery options. The 7.5 kWh pack comes on the base Venom and has a claimed IDC range of 227 km. The 11 kWh SRB-11 pack comes on the Recon and has a claimed IDC range of 343 km. That is 16 km and 20 km more than the equivalent outgoing packs.
IDC is a test-cycle figure, not a promise of real-world range. Speed, riding mode, load, terrain and temperature will all reduce it.
Ultraviolette claims the new pack is 15 per cent lighter and 25 per cent more energy-dense, with axial cooling that doubles cooling performance. The battery pack has an IP67-rated enclosure and a pyro-fuse designed to isolate the circuit in the event of a critical fault.
Motor and Performance
The motor makes 30 kW (about 40 bhp). Its peak torque is 90 Nm at the motor and 550 Nm at the rear wheel, down from 610 Nm on the earlier X47. These are two measurement points, not conflicting figures. Wheel torque is multiplied through the drivetrain, so it shouldn’t be compared with another hltx’e motor torque.
Claimed figures:
- 0-60 km/h: 2.7 seconds
- 0-100 km/h: 5.9 seconds
- Top speed: 155 km/h
Weight helps here. The base Venom is 17 kg lighter than the previous 7 kWh X47, and the Recon is 13 kg lighter than the outgoing Recon. Ballistic mode, the fastest ride mode, now works down to 10 per cent battery instead of 30 per cent. Regenerative braking is available from 99 per cent charge instead of 90 per cent.
Charging and Technology
Ultraviolette claims DC fast charging of up to 12 kW. With the standard 1.3 kW portable charger, a 20–80 per cent charge takes 5 hours 30 minutes, about 30 minutes longer than before. Times with other chargers have not been confirmed, though one report mentions a 1.6 kW onboard charger.
The VX-100 is a 100V architecture that Ultraviolette says will underpin its future vehicles. The company says it improves thermal management, so performance holds up better after sustained hard riding. The motor and controller are also lighter, and the motor uses 50 per cent less rare-earth material.
Features and Safety
Dual-channel ABS, traction control and dynamic stability control are standard. The 7-inch TFT display, cruise control and camera-based parking assistance are limited to the top three variants. Higher variants also add four levels of traction control, the radar-based UV Hypersense system, and an integrated dashcam.
Hypersense uses a rear radar to provide blind-spot monitoring, lane change assist, overtake alerts, and rear collision warning. These are rider alerts, not autonomous functions. Mappls navigation and over-the-air updates are also reported, but variant availability is unconfirmed.

Rivals and Market Positioning
The X47 Venom has few direct rivals, so the useful comparison is across different price and performance points. Prices are ex-showroom listings, and ranges are manufacturer IDC claims.
| Model | Ex-showroom price | Claimed IDC range |
| Ultraviolette X47 Venom | ₹2.65-4.12 lakh (introductory, first 5,000 customers) | 227-343 km |
| Ultraviolette X47 Crossover | From ₹2.49 lakh | Up to 323 km |
| Ultraviolette F77 SuperStreet | ₹3.09-4.24 lakh | 211-323 km |
| Matter Aera | ₹1.83-1.94 lakh | 172 km |
The Venom’s closest rival is Ultraviolette’s own X47 Crossover. The Venom adds a lighter body, a larger battery option, and a longer feature list, at a higher price.
The streetfighter-styled F77 SuperStreet Recon is the nearest on paper, with a 323 km IDC claim and similar power. The Venom’s 343 km claim is higher, but IDC figures are not a like-for-like measure of real-world range, so buyers should compare usable range and charging access as well.
The Matter Aera and Ola’s Roadster X+ are priced considerably lower. Buyers considering them should check current prices and range claims on the manufacturers’ own listings, as Ola’s pricing has changed several times this year.
Final Verdict
The X47 Venom’s case rests on lower weight, a larger 11 kWh option and a longer feature list than the Crossover. It suits riders who want a quick electric motorcycle for daily use and the occasional longer trip, provided charging is practical.
Before booking, buyers should confirm which battery, charger, and features come with each variant. They should also check how the 343 km IDC claim translates to real riding, the price after the introductory window, and Ultraviolette’s service reach in their city.
